IT consultant by day — “the person who fixes things” but also “the person who can explain why the thing broke in the first place.” 30 years of being fascinated by whatever’s next, which means I’ve lived through enough hype cycles to be skeptical and enough failures to be humble about it.
The rest of the time: I write about live music (and take photos), know more about local politics than I really intended to find out, and judge LEGO robotics competitions where middle-school kids build things that make me feel inadequate. I keep track of what I’m listening to, what I’m watching, and which shows I’ve been to — not because anyone asked, but because that data will be useful someday.

Autumn is always about transitions and 2026 has been a big one. We did take a super-quick vacation weekend in Portland in July – my first time. They should get some trees out there, it would look nice.
